Artist Statement:
In the subtle and simplicity of life we land somewhere in the world of Taylor Swift’s Folkmore and Evermore albums. Taking the city lights away from the fast pace hustle and bustle of city life. Scaling back to create a delicate and intimate experience for the viewer which allows us all to feel connected to the world around us by encompassing the deep forest into this photoshoot. Kelsey mentions “the Folkmore and Evermore photoshoot was our first shoot together”. After brainstorming, we decided to combine the albums to create our Folkmore photoshoot. With ideas based on the songs like “Seven” and “Willow,” the possibilities were endless. The lyric “please picture me in the trees” (Taylor Swift) was a driving force as we bared the unusually cold Arkansas winter for this photoshoot.
